Ebo Town Fundraising
The Charity has a fundraising team set up with a Secretary and Treasurer. The team meet every 2 months to help promote the school. Jan Tomlins leads the team.
The Ebo Town Community Project is funded purely by sponsorship and donations. The current cost per child per year is approximately £50.
What money raised can do for the Ebo Town Project:
- Maintain current access to secure eduction for the 83 children already allocated to the school.
- Continue to support the education of the children via books, crafts, uniforms and associated equipment necessary for the smooth running of the school.
- Aim to provide a third classroom for an extra 40 children, together with a third teacher.
- Aim to potentially employ and fund three classroom teaching assistants.
You can sponsor a child from as little as £25 per year exclusive of any gift aid donations. This will provide education for that child for one year. All money raised goes directly to the school. There are no hidden admin costs.
We are also currently running an appeal for pillowcase dresses. If you have any spare pillowcases you no longer require we would love to hear from you. Better still, if you want to make some of these dresses you can get the pattern here.
There is a continuing need for Rice Bags and Mosquito nets. These cost £12.50 /25Kg or £21.50/50Kg and mostquito nets £5.
Fundraising events are organised on a regular basis and you can find details of these below and on our Facebook page via the button at the top of the page. If anybody would like to hold an event or assist us in any fundraising activities, please contact us. We also do presentations and talks about the school. If you would like to book a presentational talk for your group for a small donation, again please contact us.
If you would like to visit the school in Ebo Town, you can do so on one of the two annual visits in April or November/December. Visits are usually 1 or 2 weeks at a time and prices are approximately £600 for one week or £850 for 2 weeks (flights and accommodation). Please contact us know if you would like to join us on one of these visits.
